An Artwork in the Making

This page demonstrates from start to finish how I do my artworks. I use a photograph of the image and then start with a pencil drawing. I then ink the outlines. Watercolour paint is added next. I experiment with different colours on a scrap of paper until I am happy with my choice. The detail comes next using pen and ink. I do individual dots for all the shading. This is the most time consuming part of the picture, but the part I enjoy doing the most. This is when the depth and the character emerges.
